Curriculum developers from Fiji and Papua New Guinea (PNG) visited the University of Alicante (UA) from 1st to 4th April 2014 to discuss the development of the new masters in renewable energy management.
The 4-day visit allowed the delegates to understand how a European institution plans and develops its master programmes, as well as the design and content of numerous subjects. Besides, visit to laboratories and power plants in the campus were arranged.
Considering the important role of the industry in curriculum development, EPIC was invited to participate in the event, New and niche employment market: Energy and Environment (agenda only available in Spanish), organised by GADGET under the Lifelong Learning Programme. In this event, EPIC learnt about the demand in Spanish labour market as well as the expectation from the private companies to the graduate in these emerging sectors.
